Art work from the Summer term
As you wander around the school you cannot fail to notice the beautiful wall displays in the classrooms. Here are just a few examples of some from this term.
Hall displays Summer 2012
To commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee every class has produced some royal art work for the hall displays. I think you'll agree that they are very impressive!
It's Art Week!!
The week has got off to a brilliant start with the arrival of our resident artist, Paul Priestley. On Thursday the children were visited by Vincent Van Gogh. After an assembly in which Paul took on the character and told the children all about Van Gogh's life and work, the infants took part in a drawing workshop followed by a painting session in the afternoon.
On Friday the children met Henri Matisse and this time it was the turn of the juniors to learn to draw in the style of Matisse and paint in the afternoon.
The children really enjoyed the experience and have produced some great work. Perhaps we have some future masters hidden in school!
All of the children's art work will be available for viewing in school next Friday afternoon (22nd June).
